Sargent Memorial Library hosts ongoing weekly or monthly activities for adults as well as special events throughout the year. Our regular events include two monthly book clubs, a weekly movie showing for seniors, an evening adult coloring club, regular technology workshops and a crafter’s group that meets every week.
Afternoon Movies for Adults
Every Monday the library shows a movie for adults. Most weeks the movie starts at 1 p.m. Suggestions for future movies are welcome and always appreciated.
Adult Coloring Club
Coloring is not just for kids. Join us every 3rd Wednesday each month at 6:30pm for the adult coloring club. No registration required.
The library has two adult book clubs, a morning book club: the Tuesday Morning Book Club, and a new evening book club, the Boxborough Book Bees. The morning book clubs meet on the first Tuesday each month at 10am, and the evening book club meets one Thursday a month at 7:30pm. Visit the book clubs' individual webpages for meeting days and book selections. If you would like to join the club, order a copy of next month's selection, or if you'd like to start a book club of your own, please stop by the circulation desk to ask how.
The Crafter's Group meets most weeks on Wednesdays from 2 - 4 p.m. The group is open to all ages, crafts, and experience levels.
The library offers workshop for different hardware and software such as Overdrive, and Microsoft Office products. Check the library’s event calendar for workshops offerings. If you have any issue with a device (got a new phone?) or software (need a refresher course on Excel?), drop-in for technology help. Technology Drop-In Help is available on Mondays (11am-1pm), Tuesdays (5pm-7pm), and Thursdays (1:30pm-3:30pm). If the offered hours does not work for you, contact us (978-263-4680) to schedule an appointment.
