The Friends of the Boxborough Library is a 501c3 organization committed to the benefit of The Sargent Memorial Library. Our objective is to establish closer relations between the library and its patrons by promoting informed interest in the function and needs of the library, raising funds to supplement resources and services, and performing miscellaneous charitable or educational work. The funds we raise through used book sales and direct appeals to local businesses are used for cultural and educational programs and exhibits at the library, and to support the museum, park and recreational passes that are available to library patrons of all ages. All donations to the Friends of the Library are tax-deductible.
The Friends of the Boxborough library was established to promote and enhance the resources of the library. Funds are raised through:
- Corporate donations and sponsorships
- The semi-annual book sales (usually May & November)
Funds raised by the Friends provide:
- Museum passes
- Summer reading programs
- Library programs (i.e. special speakers and author events)
- Refreshments for library programs
What will you get for joining?
- Friends' Only book sale preview
- Email notification of exciting library programs
- Knowledge that you are supporting your local library
The Friends usually meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM. Check the event calendar for dates and times.
