Mondays, 10:30am-11:15am, in the Story and Craft Room.

Preschool aged children are invited to join us on Monday mornings for an interactive story time and a craft designed to promote reading readiness. This 30 to 45 minute interactive theme-based story time includes songs, stories, creative movement, and finger plays appropriate for children aged 2 - 5 years. Siblings are welcome!

Wednesdays, 10am-11:15am, in the Story and Craft Room.

Drop-in for a morning of stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs that promote early literacy skills through story time. Parents, caregivers & children ages 12 months to 3 years (older siblings welcome) are invited to this special story time. To encourage the development of the five early literacy skills (singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing) children will enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, movement, and musical instruments in a nurturing setting. Stay after for a simple, sensory craft! This interactive program is perfect for children ages 1-3 years old with their caregivers.

Thursdays, 10:30am-11:30am, in the Story and Craft Room. (Registration required.)

This is a 12-week playgroup for babies between 3-11 months old facilitated by an early childhood educator. The playgroup includes developmental discussions and handouts, playtime, circle time with finger plays, rhymes and songs. It is based on the Parents Interacting with Infants model. The playgroup is free but requires prior registration to participate. To register, please email First Connection at lmatthews@jri.org.

For once or twice a month, a certified therapy dog would stop by the library for visitors. The dog will be ready to listen to stories and receive a few pats during the stay. If you have a shy reader or an animal lover, come visit when the therapy dog is here.

Children ages 4 & up are invited to drop-in and build a LEGO structure on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.  Bring a friend and share your building ideas!  We supply the LEGO's -- you supply the creativity. Once finished, the masterpieces are displayed in the Children's Room for everyone to enjoy! DUPLO’s are available for the youngest Lego enthusiasts.

Twice a month, 3-5pm, in the Story and Craft Room.

Children ages two to fifteen are invited to participate in a creative craft. The benefits of Arts & Crafts include - bilateral & fine motor coordination, development of visual processing, self-regulation, self-esteem, bonding, and fun! Please check our online calendar for schedule.

4th, 5th, or 6th graders at Blanchard Memorial School are invited to join us one afternoon per month for a book discussion group. A pizza snack will be provided. To sign up, please call the library at 978-263-4680 and ask for the Children's Desk.

Once or twice a month, Thursdays, 2-3:30pm.

Children are invited to join us for a movie on “Early Release” Thursdays. We will choose a movie rated G or PG to show on the big screen in our spacious meeting room. Bring a friend and enjoy the show! Please check our online calendar for schedule.

Meets once a month on Tuesdays, 4-4:45pm in the Large Meeting Room.

National Competitor and state-wide Champion, Yufei Tian, will offer Tae Kwon Do Lessons. Yufei will teach the basic techniques of Tae Kwon Do - including stances and forms, kicks, and self-defense. With a focus on self-discipline & respect, classes are fun & informal. The 45 minute sessions are open to girls and boys ages 5-10. Please check our online calendar for schedule.
