Library Rearrangement January Update

Dear Readers,

If you had a chance to visit the library in the last two weeks, you will have seen some big changes inside. After years of planning, we finally carried out the plan to rearrange the layout. We moved shelves and collections around (no collection was harmed during the process), created new seating areas, introduced splashes of color into the building, and added more study spaces. The young adult area is now in the main hall, and the former young adult room is in the process of becoming the Study Room. Also in the works are a couple more reading nooks and electrical connections.

Most notably, perhaps, are the new pods in the Study Room. These pods are still works in progress. They are missing some hardware pieces, and we are working on getting the reservation software ready. Our goal is to have them ready for use in mid to late February. Once they are all set, visitors will be available to reserve them for small group discussions, studying, tutoring, and remote meetings. Even though we are not done yet, please do come and visit. Try out the new chairs, get a sense of the new layout. Hopefully, you will find more reasons to love the library.

Happy reading!
