Get ready to "blast off" with incredible books and programs at the Boxborough Library this summer! This year's statewide summer reading program is Starship Adventures @ Your Library®.

The Museum of Science Night Sky Program @
the Sargent Memorial Library in Boxborough Thursday, July 9th

This summer, the Nashoba Valley Olympia Ice Skating Rink is sponsoring the Museum of Science Night Sky Program at the Boxborough Library.  Children will explore the stars, planets, and other astronomical wonders using a portable planetarium. [learn more...]

Sign-up is required for this program.  Registration begins on Thursday, June 25th. Please contact the Boxborough Library at 978-263-4680 or email Heather Wilkinson, the Youth Services Librarian at hwilkins@cwmars.org.

Starship Adventures @ Your Library®, the 2009 statewide summer reading program theme, is funded by The Friends of the Sargent Memorial Library, the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Summer Hours @ the Library

The library will be closed Saturdays during July and August from Saturday, July 4, 2009 through Saturday, September 5, 2009.  The library will be open Mondays and Wednesdays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Patrons may request and renew items by calling the library at 978-263-4680, or by logging into their Library Account.

Regular Saturday hours will resume on Saturday, September 12, 2009.

The Sargent Memorial Library, located at 427 Massachusetts Avenue in Boxborough, is a circulating member of the C/W MARS network. As a member of the network, library patrons have access to over one million materials. The Sargent Memorial library has over 35,000 materials for loan consisting of books, periodicals, VHS videos, DVDs, music, and books on tape and CD.

The library hosts a wireless network and 7 PCs with DVD drives available for public use.

Patrons with valid library cards can search, request and renew items by logging on to their library account any time of the day or night.

The library is pleased to offer programs for all ages, consisting of movies, storytimes and book clubs. Check out the event calendar for dates and times.
