Library Rearrangement May 2026 Update
Dear Reader,
Transformation takes effort. In January, we finished the first step of our rearrangement plan, moving shelves and collections to rearrange our layout. In the last week of April, we closed the Library for two days so that the pergola defining the teen/tween seating area can be installed. The rearrangement project is slowly moving towards completion, but there are still work to do. The study pods need fire prevention systems installed before we can open them to the public, and we are planning on adding a door to the current copier/printer area to transform it into a small study space. These steps sound straightforward, but take time. Hopefully, these works are minor enough that we won't need to close the library for them.
Furthermore, the Library building was weatherized, and all florescence light fixtures replaced with LED lights as part of the town's Green Boxborough initiatives. We thank the Land Use Department for leading the projects.
We hope that you would stop by and see for yourself the changes we have made big and small. See you at the Library!
