Learn to extend the life of your clothes by simple mending techniques with Deepika Prakash, founder of PatternReview.com - an online sewing community. Deepika's mission is to empower her community by teaching valuable sewing skills that contribute to sustainable practices. Some knowledge of using a sewing machine may be required but not always necessary. For each workshop there will be a list of recommended materials for participants to bring, as well as what will be provided in class. The workshop will have limited seats so we can learn effectively.

Visible Mending
In the May Repair & Renew Sewing Workshop, participants will learn from Deepika Prakash how to repair them using visible mending. In this method, the stitches are done by hand and are visible, adding a whimsical element to the clothes which is very trendy.
This is a hand sewing workshop and no prior knowledge of sewing or a sewing machine is necessary. This is a great one to bring your teen to as well! Needles, Thread and other sewing supplies will be provided.
